1976 Tayga 9019 "Zmeya" 1.0

"All men are equal - but some are more equal than others".

The 1976 Tayga 9019 Змея "Zmeya" is a communist V8 limousine, reserved for only those at the very top. The 7.4 V8 produces approx 270 horsepower, and it handles like a shopping cart on wheels, weighing in at just about 2 tons. Fuel economy? The persons riding in a Zmeya do not care for such irrelevancies.



When the working class of the USSR saw a Zmeya arriving, they knew to keep their distance. Whatever was happening, it was way, way above their influence. The jet black paint color accented by the red Tayga badge gives it a very ominous look, and the rumble of the huge V8 engine only intensifies it.

Taking inspiration from the American-made Serpent Beverly, the Zmeya is a very American-looking vehicle, at least from a distance. It's not until you get up close that you notice the side emblems, a hammer and a sickle. It's meant to represent the people, after all.
