1977-1984 Nygaard Marlin (Gen 1) 1.0

Nygaard's First Supercar

  1. FighterAce1
This is the Nygaard Marlin. With a lightweight fiberglass construction, and a mid-mounted 2.1L Single-Turbocharged Straight 6 pushing out 205 horsepower, a top speed of 184 MPH, right when it was first introduced in 1977, was achievable. This makes the Marlin two MPH faster than the fastest version of the Lamborghini Countach, the LP500 S, five years before Countach officially took the land speed record for production cars. With its mind boggling top speed, and the fact that it handles as if it is on rails, the Marlin, is a proper supercar.

The Marlin Beating a Bolide 350 (Which has 284 horsepower, but is heavier) in a drag race by almost two-tenths of a second.

Thank you, I honestly spent the most time tinkering with the paint job, but I think I got it right. I was quite surprised with the performance myself, especially for something that hardly pushes out 200 horsepower. It's like a Norwegian Lotus Elise based on how light it is. Plus, plot twist, I never even pushed it to it's limit until a couple days back so I could advertise the thing's top speed. With the amount of power that it does put out, I didn't expect it to do anything over 160 MPH. Boy, was I wrong!
