NEW UPDATE (v1.1)
- Changed colour of wheels to black
- Extended bumpers
- Tweaked suspension
- Tweaked fascia design
The Kato Batta is a hilariously underpowered Japanese hatchback from 1977.
Cars just like this one were mocked by Americans with their big honkin' V8 sedans, because they were slow, small and underpowered. Then, all of a sudden, the oil crisis hit and the big V8 sedans were just not fuel-efficient and economical enough, and these cars that Americans mocked for so many years now suddenly ended up in their garages.
Engine: 1.5L Cast Iron SOHC Carbureted 8-Valve Inline 4 (51hp & 96nm)
Transmission: 4-speed Manual
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, FWD, Open Diff
Weight: 812kg / 1791lb
Top Speed: 105mph / 169kph
Body Type: Unibody 3-door Hatchback
This little tiny car, despite being very slow and uncool, is very fun to drive around twisty roads, thanks to it's teensy weight and tossable steering characteristics. It also has soft and comfortable suspension, so it takes potholes much better than what you might expect.
I don't really have anything else to say, so go and have fun driving about in your new Kato Batta. New variants of this car are likely to come soon.
