1978 Polski Lvxo 125 PZ
Important notes / spotted glitches
The Story:
- The car has weird reflection of interior, because of known exporter bug. One workaround did the trick [Fixed in latest update]
- There's also tearing on the rear door, which is result of this glitch. [Minimalised in latest update]
- The car was submitted as an idea in the December 2023, now there's result. It has very decent handling and stats based on real-life Polski Fiat 125 P.
- The visual design is less boxy (because I didn't want to use outdated template), but all cues from Polski are very well implemented & recognizable
Polski Lvxo 125 was cheap Polish car produced from 1968 to 1991, visually based on Italian Lvxo 125, but with various simplifications and upgoing visual and mechanical updates. Its purpose was simple family car for mass-production (Polish & Warsaw Pact markets and also for non-European countries in development). Although it borrowed 125 external design, its mechanics were borrowed from outdated 1300 model. Engines were supplied by Yugoslav franchise Barjak at least until 1979, and transmission and brakes were also simplified for Polish requirements. The car was initially powered by 1.3L inliner-4, and came with single-barreled Weber carburettor, as most 1960s Luxo models. First models had accented chrome details which were replaced by plastic parts in 1970s.
The exact numbers of produced cars are unknown, but there's estimate between 500,000 and million units. It was regular Polish milicja car and station wagons were designed as ambulances.
In 1978 the successor was introduced, called SFO Mazurka, but outdated 125 PZ was produced until 1991 along with its continuation model.
It was also assembled in Yugoslavia as the Polski Barjak 125 from 1971 to 1983 (real-life Poljska Zastava) and nicknamed "pezejac" after its acronyme.
