The 1979 Campbell GCV (General Cargo Vehicle) was a second iteration of means of cargo transport in America.
By the late 1970's, the first-generation GCV was already 15 years old and a bit outdated. Campbell decided to make a second-generation, because why not make a bajillion times more money?
Engine: 4.0L Cast Iron SOHC Twin-Carbureted 16-Valve V8 (140hp & 275nm)
Transmission: 4-speed Automatic
Drivetrain: Front-engine, RWD, Open Diff
Weight: 1193kg / 2631lb
Top Speed: 113mph / 182kph
Body Type: Ladder Frame 3-door Van
This van, despite only having 140hp from it's Mk2 Campbell V8, is very wheelspinny because of it's skinny little tires and surprisingly small weight. I guess vans are featherweights now. Even though it uses the same engine as other 70's Campbells, it's actually surprisingly fast due to it's miniscule weight. If muscle vans were a thing, this would be one. It doesn't handle very well though, because, well you know, it's a van.
Enjoy(?) your 1979 Campbell GCV.
