1984 Moldt / Dagenham / Maestra RS
Important note: This car was the result of submitted request, although I've had previously idea to recreate mid 1980s Ford Sierra. The stats are mostly "borrowed" from Cosworth trim, but not tend to be fully realistic.
Bugs: I didn't spotted any bug during testing phase. The car is actually very handy at cornering at bigger speeds, very simple and responsible all the time. Feel free to report any bug. : )
THE STORY:
The Moldt Maestra was the result of the mutual collaboration between Moldt-Cologne (West Germany) and Moldt-Dagenham (United Kingdom) franchises. The car has streamlined design with good drag coefficient and in stock model it was powered by various overhead-cam inliner-4 engines and was RWD. But RS trim is somewhat unique British idea. It's aim is not street racing, but rallying and RWD was replaced with 4WD drive. The car comes with balanced 5-speed manual transmission, and discs on all wheels. The ride clearance was lower than original stock model, and main workhorse is the 2.0 L, 196 bhp, turbocharged V6 engine with distinctive sound, which generates max speed up to 236 km/h and 0-100 km/h acceleration for 8.7 seconds.
Although the vanilla model was quite reliable, the V6 model had bad reputation due to the huge reliability issues and big service costs because of the overpowered turbo boost. Besides that, V6 RS is still a certified 1980s British classic - just the pure British, a'ight?
