A hatchback, the 1980's, and a company with a love for racing:

This one, based on the road-going 146i A (available on my repo page), took a more conservative approach than most. The original 2 litre block and chassis were maintained.
Everything else was however binned. Kevlar bodywork, a DULL Performance tuned twin turbocharger setup and aggressive aero-focused bodykit are amongst the biggest changes.

So, 460 horsepower, nearly 700kg of downforce and a dry weight of under 900kg. I'll be honest, it sounds like a recipe for disaster. But with enough manhandling and with the help of the thick rally tires, you can actually keep it on the track. It's a ton of fun with a wheel, trust me.
Have fun!
