Description​

The early to mid 80s saw the rise of Group B with many companies like Audi, Ford Europe, Lancia, Nissan, Toyota and Porsche partaking in the event. In order to get a slice of the pie, LASA decided to join it in 1983.
The company lacks funds despite selling more cars than ever. The designers are tasked to take a LASA 2000 Coupe (1981 to 1989) and modify to rally rules. Being short on time and rules, the company ditched the 4WD system and outsourced the engine modifcation to ZRF Britsh Tuning. The body was lighten and a bodykit was added to the car to accomate wider tires and track. The result is.
The 1985 LASA 2000RS Group B is a RWD rally car designed for group b rules and regulations. Fitted with a 2800cc turbocharged i4 (it's actually 2000CC engine. Group B requires a 1.4x multiper for turbo or supercharged engines. This affects tires and weight.) making 340 horsepower mated to a 5 speed transmission. 200 production models have been made between 1984 to 1985 plus 7 rally cars. The car never won a single event and was retired before the 1986 season. It faired better in slower rallies like the Safari Rally and tarmac stages early on.
