1986 GMaZ / Sputnik 1700 "Sport" aka Sputnik Nevskiy'

Note: Made on submitted request, this car is heavily inspired by VAZ 2107 or the "Soviet Mercedes" boxy & classic model which was produced until the mid 2000's. It's light tuned, custom incarnation with most stats borrowed from Lada (VAZ) but with better acceleration. That's why it's called "Sport".

The Story:
Sputnik 1700 was top trim of the GMaZ models, both developed for Soviet & Eastern European markets as the Western markets (mostly UK, Scandinavia and Belgium) where it was powered by diesel engine, developed in France.
The car has timeless, boxy design borrowed from Italian late 1960s models, to be more precise Luxo 124 with various improvements and interventions, so it counts as an original Soviet design. The main difference are recitangular headlights, taillights and the front grille with hood reminiscent of the Gassler cars in Soviet way. It's powered by 80 bhp 1717cc Inliner-4 engine known for big black smoke and big fuel emissions.
It was introduced in 1985 and produced until 2008 in almost unchangeable look, only with light facelifting in the interior. "Sport" model has Luxo-based rims from 132 model and conventional 1980s interior.
It was produced in dozens of millions units, but the exact number is unknown.
