In 1986, Kayara-Shinjong wanted to get in on the newfound action taking place in the LMP1 and LMP2 categories of the historic 24 Heuers Du Mans(more commonly known as Le Mans)as they felt they had undiscovered potential in their racing division. So they took a $22,000,000 dive into Le Mans to see if they could find that mystery potential alongside their LMP1 and LMP2 creations and highly skilled drivers Ben Katsofuji and Ayane Ryo. Amazingly, they won the 1986 and 1987 Le Mans but dropped out 6 hours into the 1989 race due to mechanical difficulties.
Sadly, those 6 hours were some of the most valuable moments in motorsport history as after that incident, the junior giants were never going to be seen at Le Mans again.
