The 1988 "Vulcanero", the typical American SUV of the 1980's. Covered in chrome, and with a well appointed interior, this ladder on frame construction monster was built with true off roading in mind. However, the 1988-1992 Vulcanero was mostly seen parading shopping mall parking lots and the local grocery markets. A sales success, in spite of its poor fuel mileage and size, customers were drawn to it's powerful V6 and plush interior, and all weather capability.
