1990 ETK GT-Series (F62) TT Sport 1.0

The ETK GT-Series (chassis codename F62) was ETKs grand touring coupe of the late 80s and throughout the 90s. Once ETKs TTSport team got their hands on one they began fitting their signature upgrades and appearence tweaks. The engine under the hood of this beast is the R140/4, which is a 6.1 litre V12. ETKs TTSport engineering team had souped up the standard N140 V12. Producing twice the power of the standard unit (640 horsepower vs 320) and revving all the way to 7,500 RPM, it was an absolutely monstrous powerplant. It utilised ITBs for instantaneous throttle response and Variable Valve Timing (VVT) on both camshafts in its DOHC aluminium head for maximum efficiency and performance. The internals were swapped for ultra-lightweight forged alternatives to handle consistent high RPM use. The torque curve is linear and outputs remain strong throughout the entire RPM range. The TTSport design team also fabricated a new, performance oriented front bumper with significantly higher cooling airflow for the radiator and brakes. They also fabricated a new, carbon fibre ventilated hood for expelling engine bay heat. Most of the body panels were replaced with custom fabricated carbon fibre parts to reduce weight significantly. Side vents were added to the rear fenders to provide cooling airflow for the oil coolers inside them. The interior was stripped of any unessesary weight, race-style bucket seats were installed. The interior was lined almost entirely with alcantara. The TTSport engineering team retained the same 6-speed manual as on the standard car but with reinforced internals and faster shifting. A Limited Slip Differential (LSD) was also fitted, completing the high performance drivetrain setup. Only 620 units of the F62 GT-Series TTSport were produced as ETK simply didn't have the budget or the demand to produce any more.
