The Autobello Covet is a late production version of the Ibishu Covet that was sold in Europe via a joint venture between Ibishu and Autobello. It features upgrades such as new engines, transmissions, stiffer build, interior changes and rebadged parts.

As Ibishu was about to slowly end the production of the Ibishu Covet in Japan and North America, they saw it still has potential in Europe. Ibishu decided to start a joint venture with Autobello, and continue producing the popular Covet in Europe. a new factory in north Italy was built by Autobello, purely for the modernized European Covet. The "New Covet" didn't bring a refresh like usual, instead of selling the same car with a facelift, they focused purely on the technical side. Build quality and use of new materials made the covet stiffer and lighter, therefore making it more agile and safe, but also very resistant to corrosion to ensure a long life. Another upgrade to safety was made by adding an optional driver airbag and seatbelt load limiters. New engines were one of the biggest changes made, the outdated Ibishu engine lineup was replaced by newly engineered Autobello engines. The HTO (High Torque Output) engines are ideal for lower end models, feauring increased torque in the lower RPM range for easy reliable daily driving. The Flame engines are mid-high range engines with higher power outputs despite their size. Autobello added their Bellomatic CVT transmission and a 6-speed manual.

Nice! you can also do South American variants such as ''Essence 1.0 8v 71hp'' or something like that, a car like the Covet could be sold until 2014 because they didn't even need airbags as a minimum to that date, so they were very cheap (and unsafe) cars, for example VW GOL (same platform since 1980 to 2010 or Chevrolet/Opel Corsa B (1994-2014).

I would've given this 5 stars if it was named something else instead of a covet. My suggestion would be this: 'Autobello Citta'

Cool mod, I've been waiting for new models from Autobello for a long time. This is certainly not what I expected, but now it's my favorite mod :)
