The recently founded American super car manufacture AVX was reached out to by the British car company Sparrow to help design an engine for their latest super car, the Maestro X. AVX agreed under the condition that the Maestro X would be sold under the AVX name in America, to which Sparrow agreed. Powered by the AVX built 628hp "Powerhouse" 5.7L V10, the Maestro X went down in history as one of the fastest super cars of the 90s.
