Beta 1996 Declasse Arcadia 4WD 1.4

1990s Chevy Tahoe look alike

  1. acerimmer89
1993-2000 Declasse Arcadia 4x4 aka "Midwest Edition"

    IMPORTANT NOTE:
Don't use 2WD because it seems little bit overpowered in terms of engine / braking ratio in that kind of drive. Instead, I personally reccommend using High 4WD or Low 4WD for optimal and good-handled performance. Made on request submitted 20 days ago.
Based on mid 1990s Chevrolet Tahoe and Blazer models, but some stats are NOT quite realistic. Enjoy!

    Important fixes:
    • Improved handling (55.4 from 51.8)
    • Increased front and rear braking pads
    • Decreased rear brake diameter (from 230mm to 200mm)
    • Decreased engine size (from 5734cc to 5654cc)
    • Decreased compression (from 11:3:1 to 11:0:1)
    • Decreased fuel consumption (from 20.1 L/100 km to more realistic 18 L/100 km)
    • Increased acceleration 0-100 km/h (from 11.2 seconds to 10.3 seconds)
    • Increased top speed from 180 km/h to 199 km/h (recorded)
    • Tweaked gearing for better performance (not modelled after real-life in most terms)
    • Added custom driver camera (BeamNG support)
    The Story:
Declasse Arcadia is actually fuel-hungry American SUV with 4WD and huge engine introduced in the 1993. It comes in various trims with 3 or 5 doors and very long wheelbase (2.95 m 5dr and 2.85 m 3dr) perfectly tailored for long and wide US highways. This model is shorter 3 door trim powered by 5.7L V8, introduced for the first time in the early 1970s for popular Declasse muscle cars and produced until early 2000s.
The design of the car is "transitional" one, which implements most late 1980s and early 1990s cues. The interior is mostly shaped for more streamlined 1990s standards, and the car is equipped with electronically steering and ABS, as the most 1990s mainstream models.
Although it's very big and wide, actually its handling is very good for this kind of car. The curiosity is also it's built onto Declasse short truck chassis from the 1980s with special technique called "body-on-frame", unique for this kind of massive vehicles.
The Arcadia is actually the trademark of the American 1990s SUV's. It was popular among Secret Service agents, US government agencies on federal and state levels, low-ranked sheriffs and also ordinary SUV lovers who prefer robustness instead of low fuel consumption. The car is choice of most suburban and rural families who doesn't care about fear of gasoline shortages. That means...Think American, drive American!

    5/5,
    Version: 1.4
As a person who has owned one of these, the attention to detail and handling are well done. You can hook the tow hitch up to a heavy load and it actually has similar handling.

      Thanks! : D
This is one of most detailed cars I've made, and one of few cars with modern assist technologies. I tweaked it a lot for optimal performance. : )
