1996 Ford Mustang Pack 2.5

Want to drive a turbo V6? Coyote swap? Turbo 2v? Offroading? Triton V10? I got you.

I made this mod out of pure boredom and ended up falling in love with my own work. Maybe I want a more modern American muscle car in beam, idk. With this recent update, it includes 14 configurations. I spent A LOT of time making this, if you drive a config, expect the engine inside to be identical to its real-life counterpart down to the bore, stroke, and HP and torque ratings. Hours went in to just looking for proper gear ratios and tire sizes. For the turbo cars, I replicated the way BeamNG simulates turbos with their code instead of using the Automation style, resulting in more realistic power delivery and awesome blow off's :). Not knocking them at all, I know a turbo update is coming, and they have already given us so much. Here you go everyone, feedback is encouraged and I'm super happy with how this is coming so far.

Below is a list of all the configs found in the mod as of update 2.5 (when its approved)

    1. 1996 Ford Mustang Base V6 Automatic (with manual rear end locker in case you want to pretend you welded it)

    2. 1996 Ford Mustang Base V6 Manual (with manual rear end locker in case you want to pretend you welded it)

    3. 1996 Ford Mustang GT Automatic

    4. 1996 Ford Mustang GT Manual

    5. 1996 Ford Mustang GT "Street Tuned" (manual, like to think it has a tune, full exhaust, cam)

    6. 1996 Ford Mustang Cobra

    7. 1996 Ford Coyote Swapped (little more track-ish)

    8. 1996 Ford Mustang GT Twin Turbo Automatic (based off a buddies car that's, super rad)

9.1996 Ford Mustang GT Twin Turbo Manual

    10. 1996 Ford Mustang Racecar (purpose-built, turbo coyote, slicks, big wang, sequential. . .the whole nine yards)

    11. 1996 Ford Mustang GT Offroad, yee yee.

    12. 1996 Ford Mustang Turbo V6 (cause you know deep down you wanted to find out)

    17. 1996 Ford Mustang 2015 6.7 Powerstroke Swap

Below you can find out some neat information on the 4th Gen Mustang, and more info relating to some of the configs I made. Obviously ripped from mostly wikipedia.

    Base Model

The base Mustang featured a 3.8 OHV V6 mated to a standard 5-speed or an optional 4-speed automatic transmission. The V6 produced 145 hp (108 kW; 147 PS) at 4000 rpm and 215 lb⋅ft (292 N⋅m) of torque at 2500 rpm. For 1996, the base V6 gained five horsepower with a new powertrain control module (PCM), the EEC-V. The AODE transmission was replaced with the 4R70W 4-speed auto for 1996.

    GT
In 1996, Ford dropped the 302 CID small block V8 that was in production since 1968 and introduced the Modular 4.6L SOHC engine. These engines were produced at two different plants, Windsor and Romeo. A "W" in the VIN 8th digit indicates a "Romeo" engine, while an "X" indicates a "Windsor".

    Cobra
Suspension and brakes were also tweaked, with 13" discs upfront with "COBRA" embossed calipers, and Cobra specific shocks, struts, and springs. In 1996 it was available in a special color package called the Mystic Cobra which consisted of a very expensive Chrom-a-lusion paint job like the Mysti-Chrome package on 2004 models. Only 2000 were produced. 1996-1998 Cobras were powered by Ford's modular 4.6L DOHC V8 which produced an advertised 305 hp (227 kW) and 300 lb·ft (410 N·m) of torque.

    Coyote Engine
The 5.0 L; 302.1 cu in (4,951 cc) Based on the architecture of the 4.6L and 5.4L Modular V8’s, the "Coyote" V8 is the latest evolution of the Modular engine. Ford engineers needed to design a V8, specifically for the Mustang GT. Since this engine replaced the already popular 4.6L and 5.4L Modular Engines, this engine had to remain close to the same physical size of the outgoing 4.6L, and share other specifications with it such as bore spacing, deck height, bell housing bolt pattern, etc. in order for the engine to utilize existing Modular production line tooling (the source of the 'Modular' designation for the engine family). The result was the 5.0L Coyote, which produced roughly the same amount of power as its competitors, but with a much smaller displacement.

    Triton V10 3V Engine
The 6.8 L; 412.5 cu in (6,760 cc) SOHC V10 is another variation of the Modular family created for use in large trucks. Bore and stroke sizes are 3.552 in × 4.165 in (90.2 mm × 105.8 mm), identical to the 5.4 L V8. Both 2-valve and 3-valve versions have been produced. The 6.8 L uses a split-pin crank with 72° firing intervals and a balance shaft to quell vibrations inherent to a 90° bank angle V10 engine. The engine's firing order is 1-6-5-10-2-7-3-8-4-9. The 2-valve version was first introduced in 1997, with a 3-valve non-VCT version to follow in 2005.

    Ford 460

The largest-displacement 385 engine, the 460 was developed as the successor for the 462 MEL V8 and the 390 FE/FT V8. Introduced in 1968, the 460 was initially exclusive to Lincoln (and the Mark III); in 1972, the engine was introduced for Mercury and was added to Ford (and intermediates) for 1973. The same year, the engine was added to Ford light-duty trucks (F-Series pickups). As Ford began to respond to the implementation of CAFE, the 460 (initially standard in Lincolns and highest-trim Mercurys) was made an option, effectively replaced by the 400 V8 (335-series)). 1978 marked the final year of the 460 in Ford and Lincoln-Mercury full-size cars, coinciding with their downsizing. From 1980 to 1982, the 460 was exclusive to the Econoline 350, as the 400 V8 became the largest engine for F-Series trucks; for 1983, the 460 made its return to the F-Series (replacing the 400).

    4th Gen Ford Mustang Overview
The fourth-generation Ford Mustang was an automobile produced by the American Manufacturer Ford for the 1994 through 2004 model years. For 1994 the Ford Mustang underwent its first major redesign in fifteen years, being introduced in November 1993 and launching on December 9, 1993. The design, code-named "SN-95" by Ford was based on an updated version of the Fox Platform, the final Ford vehicle underpinned with this platform. It featured styling by Bud Magaldi that incorporated some stylistic elements from the classic Mustangs.

    Ford Powerstroke 7.3
The first engine to bear the Power Stroke name, the 7.3L Power Stroke V8 is the Ford version of the Navistar T444E turbo-diesel V8. Introduced in 1994 as the replacement for the 7.3L IDI V8, the Power Stroke/T444E is a completely new engine, with only its bore and stroke dimensions common with its predecessor (resulting in its identical 444 cu in (7.3 L) displacement). In line with the IDI diesel, the Power Stroke was offered in three-quarter-ton and up versions of the Ford F-Series/Ford Econoline product ranges.

The Power Stroke is an electronically controlled, direct injection engine with a 4.11 in × 4.18 in (104.4 mm × 106.2 mm) bore and stroke creating a displacement of 444 cu in (7.3 L). It has a 17.5:1 compression ratio, and a dry weight of approximately 920 lb (417 kg). This engine produces up to 250 hp (186 kW) and 505 lb⋅ft (685 N⋅m) of torque in automatic transmission trucks from the last years of production, and 275 hp (205 kW) and 525 lb⋅ft (712 N⋅m) of torque in manual transmission trucks. The oil capacity is 15 US qt (14 L; 12 imp qt). The oil pan holds 15 US qt (14 L; 12 imp qt) while the top end holds an additional 3 US qt (2.8 L; 2.5 imp qt), making for a total of 18 US qt (17 L; 15 imp qt).

    Ford Powerstroke 6.7
Emissions controls include exhaust gas recirculation, Denoxtronic-based selective catalytic reduction (SCR) from Bosch, and a DPF. Output was originally 390 hp (291 kW) and 735 lb-ft (997 N⋅m).[7] but shortly after production started, Ford announced that they made an update to the 6.7L diesel. The new engine control software makes the engine capable of 400 hp (298 kW) at 2,800 rpm and 800 lb-ft (1,085 N⋅m) at 1,600 rpm while achieving better fuel economy and without any physical changes to the engine.[8] 2015 engines are rated at 440 hp (328 kW) and 860 lb-ft (1,166 Nm).[9] Ford claims the bump in horsepower is from a new turbo, new injector nozzles, and exhaust improvements. For 2017, the torque had risen to 925 lb-ft (1,254 Nm) at 1800 rpm, Horsepower remains the same.[10] To compete with the Duramax and Cummins engines from GM and Ram, Ford has increased output for the 2018 model year to 450 hp (336 kW) 935 lb-ft (1,268 Nm). Previously, the Duramax motor had a 5 hp (4 kW) gain over the Powerstroke in 2017, and for 2018 the Cummins motor had a 10 lb-ft (14 N⋅m) torque gain over the Powerstroke if the Powerstroke's output hadn't been increased for the model year 2018. The engine will be available for Blue Bird Vision school bus.
