Beta 1998 Watson Scylla 1.0

Designed to beat the very best in the world at the time of its debut, the Scylla is a bit on the insane side, even by modern standards.

The secret to its insanity is, of course, the engine. Sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission, it's a 5.5L naturally aspirated V12 which churns out a massive 826 hp @ 9400 rpm and 524 lb-ft of torque @ 7200 rpm. To this day, it's the most powerful naturally aspirated production car in the world.

This is incredible when you consider that the car only weighs 2366 lbs (1073 kg). That makes it lighter than the tiny McLaren F1, which has similar luxuries. In fact, it has a nearly 50% power-to-weight ratio advantage over a Bugatti Veyron. The result is 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds and a sub-10-second quarter mile time.

While it can't match the F1's top speed of 240 mph, as its aerodynamic components limit it to around 220 mph, its extra down force and power pay dividends on a race track. Be careful though; that V12 is a landmine until the down force kicks in.
