Swedish automakers have been in an identity crisis since the late 2010's, but back when the R series was birthed in 2008, Svenda knew their identity was to be king's of the Nordic tundra.

This all culminated with the final R series car produced in 2011, the R50. Sporting Svenda's iconic 2.5L i5, boasting a heavy boost turbo. Enough torque to rip the entire body off a Geo Metro. The engine was lovingly dubbed as the "baby Ferrari" with it being half of a 5L V10.

Initially criticized for sporting a FWD terrain system; the consensus shifted by the time the 2011 fleet rolled out. AWD models were tested, but felt too tame. RWD was out of the question for the rough conditions of Scandinavia. Your head throwing back into your seat from the sheer force of the front tires became a staple of the R series.
