The Pengtan Tasuna is a bite-sized all-terrain vehicle from Malaysia. It is a step up in terms of luxury and features (but not power) from the Vendero, but that does not mean it's a luxury car in any way, shape, or form.
PROS of buying a Tasuna:
- Great gas mileage
- Take it anywhere
- Reliable
CONS of buying a Tasuna:
- Very slow
- Small (backseat is tight squeeze)
- Propensity to rust
In Japan this classifies as a kei car, as the base model has a 658cc turbocharged inline 4 that makes a blistering 63 horsepower. However, for export markets, they also have an 1100cc N/A inline 4 that makes around 98 horsepower. Unfortunately, this is the one with the 658cc engine. That means it does take quite a while to get to a reasonable speed. However, it can cruise at 70 mph easily, and has a top speed of just over 100 mph.
