By legend, the Namazu is a giant catfish who causes earthquakes, worshipped in Japanese mythology as the God of World Rectification. This is the refreshingly simple and retro-inspired Namazu, an amazing supercar from British-based car tuner and manufacturer Mearns Tuning Automotive, and a successor to their legendary CR-12 of the 90s.



The MTA Namazu comes equipped with a beautiful-sounding 3.6-litre N/A DOHC V10, producing 500 horsepower at 10,200RPM, and 317lbs/ft of torque at 7100RPM, with the limiter set at a mind-boggling 11,000 revs.



With use of carbon fibre for the chassis and body, the Namazu is very light; even with the leather-clad interior and air conditioning as standard, it weighs in at just 1140 kilograms, giving the car amazing handling through any corner. Meanwhile, its highly revered 3-seat layout puts the driver in the perfect driving position.



For a pure driving experience, the Namazu uses a 6-speed manual transmission and very mild driving aids which can be turned off easily. Along with a low weight and plenty of power, this car will deliver one of the most exhilarating and visceral experiences you will ever encounter.
