DESCRIPTION: In order to give Atkins Motor Corp`s core model a more unique name, the brand has decided to retire the "Diplomat" nameplate. The new name "Charlestonian" is a homage to the city where the brand was founded- Charleston, West Virginia, USA. Other than a name change, this new model is essentially just a more updated and modernized Diplomat. Other Atkins models will also go through name changes in an attempt to have less generic sounding names. This New Charlestonian makes several cosmetic updates over its diplomat predecessor, as well as technological updates. New to the Charlestonian is hideaway flush door handles that hide in the bodywork until needed. Other new features include duo-tone interior ambient lighting and illuminated exterior side strakes-an Atkins hallmark. Various cosmetic updates over the Diplomat have made the New Charlestonian the most beautiful full-sized Atkins sedan ever! The Charlstonian will be offered in 3 trims: The base Luxe, midrange Platinum Luxe and range-topping Diamond Luxe, as well as various special and limited editions. The Charlestonian for some time, will be sold alongside the outgoing Diplomat as the brand works to slowly phase out the old model. The Charlestonian E is the first ever fully electric Atkins model. In addition to the electric powertrain, other changes from the original Charlestonian include an aero illuminated grille, and additional technology features. The Charlestonian E will be offered in the same trim levels as non-electric versions.

DISCLAIMER: Not a true electric car because automation does not yet support this configuration, this is more of a design study.
