Alfieri-Sjöorm Vetterli-9009 Gambler 500 1.0

Two halves make a whole, right?

An old 1991 Alfieri Vetterli V6Q, a 1992 Sjöorm 9009 turbo, a laser cutter and an old welder. What do you get from combining those four things? The answer: whatever this car is supposed to be.

It's far from the best car to enter this very prestigious competition. The engine runs on methanol, for whatever reason, the suspension is held up by my hopes and dreams, and the body will most likely fall apart or split in two. Still, the gambler is only a two-day event, so it'll probably hold up for that time. Hopefully.

As you no doubt suspect, this car was largely inspired by James May's Alfa 162/Saab 9000 stretch limo, but with an "original" twist to it. Other elements were inspired by real Gambler 500 cars, and God forbid, my imagination. Key features include:
    ""Custom"" ""offroad"" suspension
    A mandatory bullbar and skidplate
A light bar and speaker on the roof
    A roof rack for supplies
A spare tire (you'll need it)
A toilet, because every gambler car should have sanitary equipment
A stylishly decorated, Venetian rear right door (the old one fell off)
A repurposed boot for collecting trash, as that is also what the Gambler is about, i think

As far as the BeamNG export goes, it's alright. It has a 240 hp, 274 Nm 2.6L, naturally aspirated V6 (originally 130 hp). It drives pretty well for being FWD (about 10% goes to the rear), and is decent at offroading for having standard size, hard long life tires. A lot of fixtures like the bull bar, engine bay and dashboard do tend to fall off sometimes but that i can't do much about. I would have done some jbeaming but seeing as it is 2:47 am on the penultimate day of the contest it wasn't really feasible. The rear wheels (of the Saab) don't actually spin, as you'd expect, but that i can't do much about either. Automation exports in general don't look great, but this one is alright.
