Have you ever wondered what the largest v8 Gavril offers would be like in a late 1950s Japanese compact?
I have.
So I transplanted the Gavril 6.9L v8 and superchargers to the Satsuma. The result is a combination of hilarity and "hey, that might actually work in a 1/4 mile build.".
Here it is, doing a 8.09s / 199.21mph pass on the West Coast drag strip.
The JBEAM has been updated to place the engine in the engine compartment correctly, and the flexbodies and props were updated to reflect that offset.
Even with all that iron in the nose, it yanks the front tires off the ground.
This is a huge lump of iron compared to an i4 or a rotary, it throws the CG of the car off in a really big way. Braking down from ~200 mph, you can bounce the rear axle into the air and do a stoppie. What's more, it can get you to that 200mph speed in just a bit under 9 seconds. It puts out so much torque that the frame twists slightly, and the whole car tries to turn right when launched at a drag strip.
This mod requires that you have the satsuma210_by_mike94 mod already installed. It contains one new file with the engine definition and an updated audio file (sbeam) to get the a nice deep rumbling v8 sound to work.
