496 CUI 8.1L V8 Engine 3.64

I think overall this mod is fine. Having a V8 model and its placement is the biggest stride when compared to other engine mods that just change values. With a Stock Long Block, Stock ECU and Stock Intake, I think it just makes way too much power being stock. Some vehicles get a 12-Speed Dual Clutch transmission which I think is too many gears and its too high end. In FWD cars, the transmission is mounted transversely but the engine is mounted longitudinally, so that means the transmission is clipping through the engine sideways. If this engine mod was based off a Racing 8100, then I would understand the high yield numbers but the performance numbers come from the "...Specifications of GM's Vortec 8100 from 2001-2010." Nobody would buy a modern Dodge if GM was able to make a 8100 come with 600+ hp stock. At the end of the day, I rate this mod a Solid 3/5. This mod has potential but it needs a good amount of work.

MD series is sexy and high displacement V8s are sexy. Match made in heaven?

This mod is updated quite frequently, and I've never had issues with it.

When I engine swap to this or modify the engine, it empties my fuel tank.

Never enough modded engines, the 5.5/6.9 get pretty tiring after a while. Also to correct the comment below, the DFA pack is alive and well on the original author's (iRetr0x) patreon, and I highly recommend it

Just an FYI, The DFA pack isn't available anymore seeing as the mod author for that pack was banned from the BeamNG Website. Overall pretty good mod, could use some polishing and flushing out some stuff, but it's fun non the less. Maybe removing the DFA configs would be a good idea, since those of us who still have it can just make the truck in the parts selector in game.

missing from bus and t-series does not work, also parts are missing from pigeon and wigeon. other than that its a fun mod.

Great mod, under "vehicleController" in the engine jbeam, change the high upshift rpm to 4500 or so

If you base this off of the 6.9L v8, it might make the automatic tranny act right.
