'65 Silver Bullet
Using full '65th year tech, the Silver Bullet is what I imagine a hypercar would have been like, in the '60's.
DOHC naturally aspirated 8500ccm engine, putting out 623hp, with 908nm of torque, at 4900RPM.
Double-wishbone suspension, front and rear.
RWD powertrain, rear-mounted engine, there is a lot of weight bias toward the rear. Massive rear tires take care of any oversteer, and the car has no problem putting that power on the road, with little or no wheelspin. But the comparatively light front end means the steering gets very "floaty" at high speeds. Dangerously so.
This is a dragstrip racer. It does NOT like cornering at high speeds, as the front end is very twitchy. Lacking ABS, the wheels will lock up while braking, but the more rear-ward brake bias will keep the car on course, while braking. Brakes are very good though, with no fade that I've experienced, discs on all wheels. As long as you brake early for corners, and take them at lower speed, the car's handling is fairly predictable. High speed cornering will get you crashed.
0 - 100kph 3.8 seconds
298kph top speed
One more thing, the engine is big and heavy, and the rear end takes a lot of clonks, on the bumps. It does NOT take much to break the engine on this car (tested on Endurodrome, didn't even make it half a lap, this is not a tough car at all, speedbumps killed the engine in no time at all). Watch your speed over bumps, don't go offroad a lot, or you'll be seeing the "main Engine broken" message a LOT. And avoid jumping.
