'66 Lion DeSade
Using fully '66 era technology, this muscle car packs a massive, low-revving engine, transferring a huge amount of torque to the massive rear tires, keeping wheelspin to a minimum. No electronic assists, aside from a hydraulic servo, to deal with the near 2 tonne monster.
Thanks to a sensible balance of weight, the car handles well even in high speed cornering, which surprised me. While it will never be as agile as a track car, you can take this monster to a track, and do reasonably well cornering.
Easy to drive casually, thanks to a simple automatic gearbox, which while impacting acceleration, does wonders to control the wheelspin.
It guzzles fuel like nobody's business, of course, but on the bright side, it guzzles crap fuel, so you can keep it fed. The rugged, low-compression engine is optimized to run on cheap 91-octane unleaded gasoline. That's one way to deal with fuel economy hehe.
