78'-81' Rebello Prometra (Full Release!) 2.0.1

A little cheap compact sports car from the 80's.

  1. Deft Knight
    78'-81' Rebello Prometra
    Includes All Models!

    Overview:
    What is a Prometra?
Back in 1976, a medium sized American car company called Rebello started to notice something brewing in the Japanese car market... Something that they could sense was big. There sports cars were getting sportier and there hunger for the Amircan market getting bigger. While then, the future rain of the Japanese manufacturers wasn't obvious, Rebello trusted that it would happen and wanted to try and get in on it as soon as they could. What came from this desire to try and be first was the Prometra. While not actually a Japanese car, It certanly had the light, somewhat budgeted, appearance that would become the Japanese trademark only 2 years after the Prometra's release.

    What This Mod Includes:
Models, details, photos of the car.

All models have been given a dropdown so you can look at the ones your interested in. (And it saves space)

    F (or family) Models
This is the most basic of basic models. It has almost no chrome anywhere, a cheap 8-track player, and a eye-melting amount of PLASTIC.

A much improved family model, this has chrome trim and less plastic. It even has a glove box door for the pasenger glove box. What a luxury!

If you own this, then you aren't poor! It has a clock, better 8-track player, a nicely padded and clean looking interior and plenty more chrome, just to make it a little shinier.

    S (or sport) Models

This trim is lighter than the F-85B Model by a lot, and more powerful. It has a very overbuilt turbocharged aluminum inline 3 that has only 1 liter of displacement. At this size and budget, it suprisingly makes 105 horsepower. It's definitly fast enough to have fun with.

20 more horsepower, even better tires, and only a little more weight, this is a very much improved version of the S-105B. It even has a red interior so everyone knows how fast you can go (Not very). Using the same inline 3 engine with better parts and a slightly fatter turbo, this is a good choice for a cheap track day machine.

Now things are getting a little more serious. This has wider tires, a bit more chrome and a hood scoop. You could fit in with the miatas now (The prior models would get laughed out as cheap garbage). This has more focus on performance and suspension to match. They managed to push that light little inline 3 engine to 145 horsepower, making this car a pretty wicked ride.

Things went form 0 to 100 really fast. Faster than this model even. This is the special edition model. It has crown badges to let everyone know your the king. This model has the nicest interior thus far, semi slicks from the factory and the biggest engine of all the sport models. With the same displacement as the V6 in the F lineup but in a boxer form for better center of mass, this thing makes a incredible 300 horsepower. You could hang with most BMWs at this point. Just know that they're probably more comfortable while you pass them...

    E (or economy) Models

Running the same powerplant as the sport line-up with a very economic tune, this is perfect for a commuter who needs to save every gallon they can.

This car should have never existed, but it did. It failed miserably and it should be obvious why. If you want a premium car are you buying it for gas milage? No. You probably don't care about the milage either. That's why this premium car had less than premium sales figures.

    Final Notes:
I may or may not continue to support this mod after release. If someone brings up a bug they found, I will probably fix things, but I don't want to promise (I'm awful with promises on the internet.). I don't plan to add anything new in the future, mainly because this is really just my silly little side project and unless others got invested, I don't think I would have the motivation to mess with it too much. Over all, I hope you just enjoy this goofy little mod and thank you for reading this far.
