Beta A Map To Crawl Over Returns! 2.1

The long awaited return of one of the best maps in BeamNG History!

  1. Mundy64
Ok, so, before anything else, I would like to give a huge thanks to three people who have all contributed to getting this map back on the repository where it belongs, so that everyone can enjoy it.
    Those three people are:

Darren9 - The original creator of the map. Darren9 has since left the BeamNG community but his legacy will live on through this map. If you ever happen to hop back on and see this, thanks so much for the original work you put into this map.

@Average Person - One of the first people who showed interest in this and offered to fix the map for me, and ultimately everyone, to enjoy. Thanks so much again for the fix, without your help, this map would have never made it back onto the repo.
(Average person was also the person who provided the recent fix for the also amazing map "Crawl Central" by @ADAM001, so go check that out too)

@RobloxFan2 - He found the original thread from this map in the internet archives, and which helped me find out that Darren9 was the creator and had left this community. Thanks for your effort too

    Now.. onto the presentation!

A Map To Crawl Over, Offroad crawl, Offroad Crawler, whatever you want to call it, IT'S BACK!
Personally this used to be one of my favourite maps for general testing purposes, and now it's back from the dead for everyone to use.

The map features multiple sections, with the spawn being in a flex/crawling cement section, perfect for testing the articulation and approach angle of your vehicle of choice!

The main attractions of the map though are the dedicated crawling trails all over the map, with rope strung between posts as the border. If you're a serious crawler, the aim is to not touch the borders; but don't worry if you do, they're transparent so your vehicle will just go through them.

Also included in the map is a big hilly section, for some epic hillclimbs, as well as some jumps if you want.

Back to the crawling, there is a heavily forested area with a really cool trail winding it's way through. Cool if you want a realistic trail to just relax on as you crawl, and to look at the scenery too.

There are two massive rock climbs, up or down, two massive hills as well. I would recommend not doing these in a 'normal' offroad vehicle, as they're, well, pretty much impossible for anything...
    street legal.

The last significant places on the map are a crawling circuit, which could also be used as a baja track because of the potential big jumps, and another concrete testing section, for those not satisfied with the first.

I am so glad to be able to re-release this map to everyone in the BeamNG community, and I hope everyone enjoys it!

    *Quick Warning*
If you have a look at this link (https://www.beamng.com/threads/a-map-to-crawl-over.71010/#post-1173589), this is the link to the thread where everything went on behind the scenes, and you'll see I had trouble getting @Average Person's fix to work. This was because I had old files cached in my documents which were from the original map before the texture fix. The only way I could solve it was by uninstalling and re-installing BeamNG, and deleting the ENTIRE documents folder. 99% of people will not be affected by this issue because they've never loaded up the old version of the map, but some people will have, and they might have to do this too. Best to just try it, and if it doesn't work, then use this fix.
Also, please do not redistribute, if you're going to put the map in a video or any other form of social viewing, just link it back to this page. If you know of a video or website distributing this map without my permission, pm me and I'll follow it up.

Feel free to use the map in video's or other online content but please follow what I've said above.

    Thanks everyone!

Great map, nice return. If you can get permission, another map that needs a fix is Crawl Central. I love that map, unfortunately it no longer loads properly. Thank you for bringing this one back at least it's a great map

Hey @Crazyjr, the person who fixed this map for me (@Average Person), has also provided a fix for Crawl Central. If you go onto the Crawl Central post and go to page 3 of the discussion tab, he's posted the file in the discussion there. Have fun crawling!
