Presenting you the Opeta '78! This small yet reliable car will get you anywhere!...
Backstory:
The Armadeira Opeta is a successor of the Eronda 967, and a car that saved the Armadeira Automobile Company from bankrupt. The car was designed back in 1976, but because of low funds, it took the company two years to build the first model. When it passed the safety test (but with a lower score), a lot of offers appeared, and the company had enough money to start a mass production. A year later almost 500,000 cars were made, and the company's future looked bright. That was, until 1983, when a series of accidents happened, causing 9 deaths and 5 serious injuries. After a short investgation the European Car Safety Organization decided to crash test the cars, since the safety regulations have changed recently. Opeta scored terribly, which lead to a complete closure of its production line. The very last model was transported into the Armadeira Automobile Museum, and you can see it there to this day.
