Astartes 2500 Turbo 1.0

Named after an ancient goddess of love and war, the Astartes 2500 Turbo is my own personal project, in creating a car capable of defeating the Endurodrome track (as in, driven to max, running the laps until it runs out of fuel, instead of being so damaged as to be undrivable).

A lightweight 2500ccm turbocharged SOHC V6, putting out 256hp, with 330nm of torque, at 6200rpm. Not too weedy, not too strong, giving the car enough power to handle any kind of terrain, but not too much, which would push the limits of it's handling. Extensive testing was done to find that perfect balance.

4x4 drivetrain, geared differential capable of selecting RWD or 4x4 mode, longlife tires, ensuring predictable and tame handling in all conditions, and minimising the chance of a flat tire.

Five-speed manual gearbox
Solid disc brakes on all wheels
Powered steering, but no ABS or traction control.

The car lasted about 28 laps on the track (see last pic), until it ran out of fuel, defeating the Endurodrome! No radiator rupture. No suspension collapse. No engine damage. Not a single flat tire. Slightly bent chassis. Slightly bent steering.
