Outdated Brzinski 040 Basic 0.4l 1.0

A barebones, economical model of the 000 line.

Sometimes, there is elegance in simplicity. That is the principle behind the design of the 040, the latest, and final model of the Brzinski 000 line. No power steering. No ABS. No electronic assistance of any kind. Drum brakes on all wheels. Rudimentary safety equipment. No luxuries at all, not even a radio. A pure driver's car, built with economy and minimalism in mind, while being fun to drive.

An engine that in itself is a marvel of miniaturisation, with a displacement of only 400ccm (0.4l), putting out 120hp, and 90nm of torque. Like most engines of the line, it feels at home at high RPM, while being anemic below 8000. Not that it matters, because the gear ratios and the power curve are all configured to take advantage of the engine's high revving. Powering a car that weighs less then 800kg, fun and exciting road properties are guaranteed. Top speed peaks at around 177kph.

This model's drivetrain is FWD, to minimize oversteer and keep the hallmark excellent handling of the line, despite the lack of any electronic assistance. With some judicious application of the handbrake, you can easily control the drifting properties of the car, for some spectacularly tight cornering.

Also... the 040 is VERY tough. Toughest of all models. The low weight of the car means that any bumps and bruises it takes, are never very hard, even at high speeds. The wheels are almost impossible to snap off, unless you're deliberately trying to. The suspension is almost unbreakable.
