As the name suggests, these scenarios are meant to push your car control ability to the limit in gradual steps. Forget beating time limits, completing the track with the car's own power is already a proof of your driving skill.
Cars involved:
Mark 1
Low power, RWD, welded diff, gripless tyres, wide steering angle and decent wheelbase length makes it a perfect starter drift car. Be careful with sliding down cliffs, slopes or ditches, this low grip means it's very difficult to climb back out.
Mark 2
This AWD car carries a new all-wheel-steering system that focuses on improving agility at low speeds and handling at high speeds (i.e. killing the understeer), accompanied by the increased drivability when damaged. Its suspension can be somewhat bouncy at high speeds on bumpy roads, and its preference of lift-off oversteer will just make it worse so stay cautious.
Mark 2 Kai
Further kaishuu of the Mark 2 includes a turbocharger ripped out of the GTz for greater acceleration, stiffened and raised suspension to handle shock from landings and new tyres to handle the power on tarmac. However on dirt the tyres don't do so well, tendency to oversteer does not help.
Scenario Introduction and Proof of Completion:
Mark 1 - Round the small island
This scenario is a medium length rally stage taking place in the small island map. You will be driving the Mark 1 in a bumpy narrow dirt track while fighting against the lack of grip and unstable rear end.
Mark 1 - Voyage in Utah (traffic - copless)
pending
Mark 1 - Back home in Utah
This scenario is a long rally stage taking place in the Utah map at night with a damaged Mark 1. Both tyres on the left bursted, while annoyingly the only wheel getting power is the rear left wheel. To make things worse, there's still a jump to do. Good luck limping back to the garage!
Mark 1 - Slow dance
This scenario is a curvy track in the ETK Driving Experience Centre. Throttle and steering control are as usual important, while the track tries to do damage to your car so you should try take them in the least damaging way.
Mark 2 - Use all axles you have
This scenario is meant for showing off the versatility of the Mark 2 in a track with curvy tarmac roads, bumpy dirt trails, slalom section and even a tight cornering section in the town.
Mark 2 - Open the taps (traffic - copless)
This scenario was designed to let you go fast and test the handling, but now with traffic you will be testing its handling without going fast. Be aware that the bumps on the road can lift the car up, reduce grip from the wheels and lead to lost of control. Evading incoming traffic can also lead to unexpectedly hard turning, causing the car to go all wobbly.
Mark 2 Kai - Lift off
Jumps, jumps and more jumps. All but the last jump are meant to be started with a full speed take off, so make sure you keep the throttle down when doing so. Braking in mid air can dip the front so avoid doing that, it will screw up the landing.
Traffic cars spawn count:
It is related to your CPU's core count. Currently all scenarios with traffic scale up to 18 cores with 17 cars.
WIP stuff:
-More scenarios
-Pre-done damages to the cars if possible
I'm inexperienced, so please comment in discussion thread for things that could be better. Say, checkpoints positioning, car tunings, route choice, frame rate under a certain hardware setup etc. Even extra pictures or media.
