Changli Crusader 1.0

Introducing the 2022 Changli Crusader. A $10,000 USD highway legal minitruck. Designed for Americans, by Americans, and built by the Chinese with heavy government subsidies.

It has been two years since Changli first exported vehicles to the United States, and one year since the growing Chinese automaker gained widespread recognition in the U.S. market thanks to Jason Torchinsky of Jalopnik. After wowing Americans with the first-generation Freeman NEV and again with the second generation which debuted last November, Changli has gained a strong foothold in the American NEV market with an established network of dealers and happy customers who may potentially spell the end of the domestic golf cart and NEV industry.

For months, Americans have been saying that Changli may start building its first "real cars" by 2025. These words resonated with Changli execs and the entire company got straight to work soon after. After several months of hard work, these efforts culminated in the 2022 Crusader, Changli's first entry into the lucrative American automobile market. What better way is there for what may very well be the next Tesla to enter the U.S. market than with its own take on one of America's favorite vehicle categories, the pickup truck?

The Crusader is a no-frills "just enough" subcompact pickup with a 2,000 lb load capacity. It's powered by an 800cc I3, making about 45hp at the crank, which drives the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual.
