Cherrier Inline 5 Engine for Gavril Grand Marshall 1.3

The engine of a sports car, but in your grandpa's big ol' boat.

    This mod adds the Cherrier Inline 5 engine as a selectable engine for the Gavril Grand Marshall, along with 2 ECUs, 2 Turbos, 2 Longblocks, and 3 transmissions. There are 5 configs, including one ridiculous drag config with nearly 1700 HP.

    The engine is actually modeled in the engine bay, but due to my incompetence in blender, the turbo piping, intake piping, and exhaust piping look kinda rough.

    Another thing of note is that I have changed the way the turbo PSI and RPM are controlled by the ECU. Rather than the way it works in the Cherrier FCV, where the ECU controls the turbo PSI depending on the selected ECU, I have changed it to the more traditional way of control where there is a stock turbo with a set PSI, and an adjustable turbo with boost control that is independent from the selected ECU.

    I like the mod overall, but I have 2 problems, both of which are preference;
    1: The stock engine (I've only used the stock one, in fairness) has insane turbo-lag... like, no power, then your tires explode (Manual transmission)
    Problem 2, again with the stock engine. It seems the transmission isn't geared low enough for such a heavy car, especially in the first couple gears. (Again, manual)

      Thank you! I actually think the issue with turbo lag and transmission gearing are amplified by the heavy body, because the Vivace with an I5 has a bit of turbo lag as well, but the transmission gearing and body weight make it more apparent on the Grand Marshall. A few tips for that, you can adjust the gearing on the 6 speed sequential, or if you want to use the DCT or manual, you can use the race diff and adjust the final drive with that.

    I extremly love this mod! Its super good to have I5 in more cars, cuz I am biggest fan of i5's. If it would be possible, can you swap this engine to other cars, like ETK-I series or Ibishu's.

      Thank you! As for other cars, I’ll consider putting the I5 into more cars, the ETK I sounds like a good one. I might also put it in the old American muscle cars, if I ever get around to it.
