Civetta Speciale 1.0

Civetta Speciale is an Italian supercar. When the Bolide model was considered outdated and the Scintilla model was still in the concept stage, it was 20 years away from release. The company's management decided to create a sports car that was better than the Bolide and would prevent the company from going bankrupt before the Scintilla became a prototype.

The new car, called Speciale, was produced in limited numbers, with no more than 12 units per year, including prototypes. It was equipped with a turbocharged V12 engine and an automatic transmission.

In 2012, an updated version of the model with a more attractive design was released. This was the first and only Civetta model to have a continuously variable transmission. The updated Speciales were also produced in 12-unit quantities per year until the launch of the more affordable and less expensive Scintillas in 2020.
