Beta CK Tire Pack 1.0

This mod adds a variety of tires to the game, mostly European models, plus a few Japanese ones. The goal is to provide higher-quality tires for most vehicles in the game, suitable for base-model, older, and modern cars, as well as sportier or track-day builds. Most tire mods, paid or free, focus only on flashy tires, but BeamNG is also about driving shitboxes .

What began as a small pack with a few winter and summer tires has grown into 33 new options across summer, winter, and all-season categories, plus two new steel wheels.

Over the years, I’ve seen many paid or private tire packs that fall short in quality, especially in art direction or optimization. This mod aims to improve on that within the constraints of the concept: reusing the original tire mesh and applying material overrides. Making this taught me a lot and will help me create better content in the future.

For people who want 3d models of tire groves and baking settings, a blend file is available inside the mod zip. The main technique to get higher quality was rendering a normal and ambient occlusion map in 16k resolution and then downscaling it to 2K resolution. Later, everything was being composited in GIMP, with additional details in textures.
