Beta Coral Pink Sand Dunes 1.3

The sand dunes in southeastern utah

    Today, I bring you the Coral Pink Sand Dunes from southern Utah! (At least, 2 square kilometers part of it.)

    This is the southern area of the dunes, which has some vegetation, and steeper cliffs in the hills to the east.

    In the center of the map, there is a closed circuit race course. The layout is based on one of the longer courses at Texplex.

    Cutting through the entire dunes is an 11KM point-to-point course.

    In the mountains, there are dozens of km of trails to explore, which I set up to be sort of maze-like to make the trails feel longer than they really are.

    All of the trails and courses are ai noded. Not that I think the ai can handle them all, but so you can see the paths in the navigator.

    Things to come: Time Trials for the two courses and maybe some rocks and whatnot on the trails

    Definitely realistic when compared to the trails in the Kanab area! My only suggestion would be to make some of the trails more technical, rather than just increasing the difficulty by making them steeper.

      I have been working on an update that tackles exactly this issue. I am a little burnt out on the map since it was two weeks of nearly nonstop work, but expect an update to come out with significantly better trails

    The map is great but the mountain trails are crazy laggy. Not sure if its my mediocre graphics card or the sheer amount of foliage on the mountain.

      There is a ton up there. I am currently reworking the entire mountainside to be more fps friendly and interesting in general

    Being from Utah, I always love when Utah maps come out, and I dare say this is the best one yet! I’ve recently been wanting dirt roads to drive on, and this map scratches that itch. Well done!
