Corvo Terra (2004)



Introduced and launched in 2004, the Corvo Terra is the official successor to the Esploratore SUV.

Its chassis has been completely redesigned with all the credentials of a true off-roader: a rugged ladder frame and heavy-duty off-road suspension.

Available powertrains:

• 1.9 120 GPL – Only with a 6-speed manual transmission (MT-6).
  

• 2.2 135 – Available with either a 6-speed manual (MT-6) or a 5-speed automatic (AT-5).
  

The automatic option features the robust Selectra 5-speed gearbox, specifically reinforced for off-road use and harsh conditions.

MVR Competition 1.9 300 HP

In the following years, MVR developed an extreme, competition-oriented version, officially unveiled in 2008. This model is equipped with a highly tuned 1.9-litre naturally aspirated engine, derived from the touring car championship-winning unit used in the MVR Lexico S (itself a sport evolution of the Rawer 600 Series, based on the Corvo Master platform). In this configuration, the engine produces nearly 300 horsepower, transforming the Terra into a purpose-built, high-performance off-road machine.

VIGILI DEL FUOCO

• VIGILI DEL FUOCO (Fire Brigade - Forestry & Civil Protection): Configured for the Italian Fire Department, this variant serves critical roles in forest firefighting (AIB - Antincendio Boschivo), technical rescue in hard-to-reach areas, and civil protection missions. It is often fitted with auxiliary water pumps, racks for portable firefighting equipment, chainsaws, and extra storage for tools and medical supplies. Its reinforced ladder frame and true off-road capability allow fire crews to reach the heart of wildfires or disaster zones where standard fire engines cannot tread, acting as a vital first-response and command unit in the field.
