Beta Covet AWD 2.01

8 lightweight configs: mid-engined (AWD and RWD) and front-engined (AWD and FWD)

  1. Gruban
    Covet AWD
These ones are inspired by 80's and 90's rally and hillclimb cars.

    Update v1.2 - Added a RWD option.
Update v1.3 - Revamped RWD config

Update v2.0 - Mod is completely redone because Covet update broke everything. Added 5 mid-engined configs.

Covet MR Pikes Peak AWD (tarmac and gravel configs)

Unshackled from the Group B regulations this hillclimb monster is designed to break the Pikes Peak record. More downforce, more power and less weight than the Group B version. Big turbo is helped by the supercharger at lower revs so turbo lag is mostly eliminated.

    Specs:
Engine: 1.5L inline-4 turbocharged and supercharged
    Power: 717 hp (@8000rpm)
    Torque: 687 Nm (@6000-7500rpm)
    Weight: 953 kg
    Transmission: AWD 6-speed sequential
    Acceleration: 2.5 s 0-100 km/h
    Top speed: 292 km/h
    Cornering: 2.75 g

Covet MR Group B Rally AWD (tarmac and gravel configs)

    Mid-engined Group B monster.

    Specs:
Engine: 1.5L inline-4 turbocharged and supercharged
    Power: 515 hp (@7400rpm)
    Torque: 504 Nm (@5500-7000rpm)
    Weight: 968 kg
    Transmission: AWD 6-speed sequential
    Acceleration: 2.6 s 0-100 km/h
    Top speed: 295 km/h
    Cornering: 2.3 g

    Covet MR DTM (RWD)

Rear-wheel drive touring car from the 80's.

    Specs:
Engine: 1.5L inline-4 turbocharged and supercharged
    Power: 577 hp (@8200rpm)
    Torque: 534 Nm (@6200-7800rpm)
    Weight: 989 kg
    Transmission: RWD 5-speed sequential
    Acceleration: 3.0 s 0-100 km/h
    Top speed: 286 km/h
    Cornering: 2.4 g

Covet Group A Rally AWD (tarmac and gravel configs)

Rally car from the early 90's. Much tamer than their mid-engined brothers but almost as fast on some stages.

    Specs:
    Engine: 2.0L inline-4 turbocharged
    Power: 350 hp (@7200rpm)
    Torque: 393 Nm (@4000-6500rpm)
    Weight: 945 kg
    Transmission: AWD 6-speed manual
    Acceleration: 3.4 s 0-100 km/h
    Top speed: 252 km/h
    Cornering: 1.9 g

    Covet MAXI Rally Tarmac (FWD)

Built for junior rally categories. Power of these cars quickly got out of hand when teams got the engines to rev over 11000rpm and produce over 300hp. That, combined with lower weight meant that they were very competitive on tarmac rallies and actually won some outright, against their bigger AWD brothers.

    Specs:
    Engine: 2.0L inline-4 naturally aspirated
    Power: 312 hp (@10800rpm)
    Torque: 216 Nm (@9000-10500rpm)
    Weight: 941 kg
    Transmission: FWD 6-speed manual
    Acceleration: 5.1 s 0-100 km/h
    Top speed: 252 km/h
    Cornering: 1.8 g

Note if you are using parts for your configs:
    - Front downforce is generated by the hood, so you need both the spoiler and my hood for balanced aero. You can adjust the downforce levels in the tuning menu.
    - Stock oilpan can't handle high G's in corners and it causes oil starvation so I made one that's rated for 6 G's.
    - You'll need to use upgraded brakes for high downforce cars.
    - Torque split between front and rear wheels on AWD configs is adjustable.
    - There are also lightweight versions of stock parts that I used to save weight (engines, roll cage, drivetrain).

    3/5,
    Version: 2.01
AWD works very well but there is no awd manual gearbox
Also there is no physical connection between front tires and the engine
if you add those above and make homolugation versions, it will be 5 stars.
