Crown Model 17 - MA Sport Limited

All my imaginary cars I create for BeamNG are named "Crown". Model 17 is a mix of so many brands that the list would be too long to even mention here so I'll leave it to you guys to make up your own mind as to what this car is inspired from.

The Model 17 - MA Sport Limited
This car is the kind of car that have enough of everything, the car that a midle-age crisis man would get yet not paying a house or two for a car. It comes with a 3.0 liter 90 degree V6 with 315 HP and 320 NM of torque @ 6900 rpm and redlne @ 7000 rpm.

The Model 17 is a perfect weekend daily drive sportscar that is sorta' practical. It keeps up with sport cars like Ferrari's and Porsche's on smaller sprint tracks and on country roads. I made it very drivable yet sporty enough to the point where you won't miss the top-end high speeds or any super extreme acceleration.

This one has been tested and tuned for best drivers experiance using a Fanatec high-end steering wheel and CS pedals and shifter with best force feedback experiance in mind.

    HiResPhoto299.png

Testing and tuning takes place on the Simbin variant of Nordschleife, Automation Test Track handling course, Italy mountain roads and the American Roads area from the American Roads mod.

    HiResPhoto297.png

Time on the Automation test track is at 2:15.86 (Less top-end speed)
My personal best time on the Automation handle course is at 1:15.425 (Can be faster in time)
Airfield (Top Gear Test Track) at 1:22.16

    Car Setup Tips
Tires throughout all the testing are set at 20 PSI front and 20 PSI on the rear.

This car is developed with force feedback steering wheel in mind. No idea how this car drives with keyboard.

Some driving tips for this car
This car is powerful but only to the point where you can still give it full throttle out of most corners given that you're in the right gear and speed. If you down shift right before turn in of a corner the car will almost shift itself into the corner, you just need to time it right to be effective with that method as shown also at the end of the YouTube video presented above the car specs.

    HiResPhoto302.png

Just remember that even the best "road" car even if aimed for a track can do maybe 130 -140 km/h top through a mid fast corner best case scenario, any faster than that and you will slam into the ditch or wall/barrier.

    HiResPhoto303.png

Most road testing I do is on "Italy" mountain roads, speed limit 50 km/h.
Even if you just cruise you're easily blinded by the speed and all of the sudden you try to react to a sudden sharp corner doing close to 100 km/h. No car in the world can do a hairpin at that speed and usually there's a bump or a follow up corner.

Brake hard if your going fast untill you hear the ABS kick in and then ease off the braking before turning in, basic comon knowledge. The torque kicks in early so be aware of a strong torque roll hitting the gas early in exiting corners.

Learn the car to find what's its streangth and weaknesses to be fast and effective.

    Enjoy!

Design could easily look like it has 700hp, glad you didn't though, that'd spoil the drive for me. 300 is all you need

    Hi!

For the handling of the car, I have nothing to say: It drive exactly as expected, even if personally I would have made it more playful at low speed, but because I like extremely playful RWD cars on mountain roads ;)

For the design of the car, I have to say that I really like the front end! However, the rear looks rushed and doesn’t fit the front design. But I’m not gonna remove a star because of a subjective opinion! ;)

    Nice work mate! :)
