D-Series Swivel-Frame
Need to haul heavy loads over treacherous terrain? Or just want to flex your articulation on all the Jeeps in the local parking lot? Well do I have the thing for you! Introducing the D-Series Swivel-Frame, a work truck with a hinge in the middle of the frame so the cab and bed of the truck can rotate independently.
Thank you for checking out my first BeamNG mod, I hope you enjoy. This was inspired by the Willock Swivel-Frame made in the early 1950s, as most famously seen on the Dodge Power Wagon. Because these trucks had to carry heavy loads soft suspension wasn't an option so to keep all the wheels on the ground at all times the frame allowed the rear half of the vehicle to rotate on the chassis’ longitudinal axis.
This mod includes:
-The swivel frame and swivel long bed frame
-Limiter chains (to keep the frame from rotating too much)
-Adapted fuel tanks, beds and solid axle suspension to work with the new frame
-The Swivel-Frame skin (colourable to your hearts desire)
