    6. Note that you may need to adjust the font size in the overlay options based on your configuration.

    Tips & Tricks:
    • Use Relative camera (default key binding is '5 ') for a dashcam-like perspective. Use WASD keys to position the camera.
      upload_2024-3-2_4-25-11.png
    • Adjust the Field of View by binding keys for Zoom In and Zoom Out options.

    • You can temporarily hide the overlay by binding a key to the Hide UI option (useful for showcasing car damage after the crash by using external cameras). However, note that this will also hide BeamNG's own Settings window - you will need to press that key again to show the UI back. Remember the key you bound, or you will need to restart the game.

    Troubleshooting:
    • If audio is too quiet, make sure to increase 'Other' volume category in BeamNG.drive Audio settings.
    • If you encounter unusual problems, delete config.json file located in BeamNG.drive User Folder\settings\dashcam-overlay\

I absolutely love this new update! I hope that we will also be able to color our custom fonts as well, besides that, it's awesome.

For some strange reason I can't open the mod settings anymore after I chose the pro version. I've clicked hundreds of times where the logo should be and around it, but the settings just won't open.

Great mod, it would be cool if a real-time grain effect could be added on as part of the mod so its more immersive in game

Does pressing the F5 key resolve the issue?

Amazing update but I would love a keybind that would "save the recording" and play a sound like if you witness a crash and you manually press the save button.

When you change the dashcam model, a different logo may appear, but it still functions as a button to access options. If you've selected the Professional model (without a logo), hover your mouse over the area to the left of the date, and the button will appear.

Not sure if it's possible to use real brands on the repo. However I will add custom logo and font option in the next update so stay tuned.
