Deep Earth is a subterranean map. It features a massive, expansive cave system extending hundreds upon hundreds of meters below the Earth's surface.
Within the caves are small, isolated research facilities connected by a rickety old highway, rock paths, and numerous minecart tracks.
The main highway will take you all the way from the start to the end of the map.
There's a series of abandoned minecart tracks that snake their way around the map, from Downtown to the bottom of the Pit. It's like riding a roller-coaster that also tests the endurance of your brakes.
There's also a few cliff-side roads that have been carved directly out of the cliff faces themselves - they are narrow and perilous.
Side-Information: There is NO terrain on this map. As heightmaps cannot have "caves", I had to use the stock cave and modify its textures, size, rotation, and various other aspects in order to achieve what I desired.
The map is rather FPS friendly because the texture detail of the cave itself depends on your graphics settings - the higher your settings the more detail the caves have. There's tons of little secrets scattered around the map, plenty to explore
Currently, there isn't support for AI vehicles but there will be in the future. Also, while it isn't necessary, I personally suggest using a four-wheel drive vehicle to get the most out of the map.
Also, don't touch the minecarts - they bite.
