OverviewIt's this thing:
(A.K.A. what the f*** is a Prometra)
![]()
(78'-81' Rebello Prometra S-125S)
And if I make it to a full release, it'll be many things. It's a basic early 80's car with potential. The prometra is really supposed to be a fun little budget car that could be a family car if you needed it to be. If you need to run around town, its got that covered. You got a big trunk, a decently accommodating interior and 5 seats (Barely). And if you want to have fun, it isn't too fast, but thanks to being rear wheel drive and suspension that is balanced generously into the sporty category, it's a pretty good little sports car.
As for the model I'm using in this pre-release, I chose the S-125S model. This is the standard sports trim, which has a heavier focus on handeling and highlights the potential of this chassis as a zippy little budget sports car.
Now, for anyone who really wants to get into the other trims and there focuses, you can look at the 'spoilers' to see what I have planned. Ones I have made already are labled 'Fin.' and the ones that I have not and just have vaguely planned are labled 'W.I.P.' They are also sorted by class (F first, E second, S third, and R last.)
This is the cheapest model, the 'budget' model of the promtra with no other focus other than affordability. Plastic on the bumper, plastic on the dash, plastic on the grill. It's plastic... EVERYWHERE.
It's got a V6 that makes 85HP and a manual 3 speed gear box. This is the 'standard' model of the Prometra. It's got a slightly shinier interior and nicer parcel shelf. All of the major plastic pieces on the outside are also now chrome, with body color bumpers.
It's got a V6 that makes 95HP and an automatic 3 speed gear box. This is the 'premium' model of the Prometra (And it's all relative). It'll definitly have a nicer 8 track player, better arm rests and a more padded wheel. It will probably also have more chrome.
It's planned to have a V6 that makes 95HP and an automatic 4 speed gear box. This one is the economie model. With scares power and not much to offer in performance, it's biggest perk is the incredible milage. 39 MPG, and that's Automation's number, which is normally worse than the real average in BeamNG. It's pretty impressive, but... At what cost?
It's got an I3 that makes 51HP and a manual 5 speed gear box. This is a nicer E model. "A economic luxury car!?" I hear you ask, "That's an oxymoron!" And it is... And knowing this, you should quite easily be able to imagine why it sold hilariously badly...
It's planned to have an I3 that makes 51HP and a manual 5 speed gear box.Imagine the F-85B with more power, more handeling and...
MORE PLASTIC!!!
It's got a Turbocharged I3 that makes 105HP and a manual 4 speed gear box.Since I've aready described it, I'll just make it really brief. More chrome on the interior and not any extra on the outside. (You could probably see that).
It's got a Turbocharged I3 that makes 125HP and a manual 4 speed gear box.More power, more fun, right? That's the idea, anyway. This will retain the lighter budget 8 track player that all the other S models had, but with similar, more weight optimized, versions of the F95P's interior.
It's planned to have a Turbocharged I3 that makes 145HP and a manual 5 speed gear box. What happens when you strip down a S-145P, give it a 2.0L lightweight aluminium Boxer 6 cylinder (Cuz' center of mass) and a complete handeling make over? . . . I don't know yet, but I want to find out. That's why I want to make a Special Edition model.
It's planned to have a Turbocharged B6 that makes 200HP (More if that's too easy) and a manual 5 speed gear box.
General PlansI might make more future models if this mod somehow gets popular. What would they be? No idea. Will I do what they did with the gravil scout? I mean... Though I don't think it would be a good mod (I could probably learn blender and understand it a little thanks to fillman's videos but I wouldn't actually know what I was doing), I might if it felt like people cared enough, but I find that super unlikely. It's a lot of work for what is really just some idiot's side project. I wouldn't be doing it for me if I did, because that's a lot of work to just make something to mess around in. I would only do it if more than just me became invested, and even then, I wouldn't promise. *More intense flashbacks*
(Or where I'll go if it comes out)
Either way, enjoy this mod. If you really like it and want the full set, I will hopefully have finished and posted all the trims in a few weeks from now. If not, well... At least I didn't promise anything this time?
