If you're going to blatantly clone my mod using ChatGPT, at least fix the physics so it doesn't turn the driver into a bobble-head. And while you're at it, maybe try removing ChatGPT's lectures on the dynamics of human eyes from the source files.

I didn't copy your mod, and I never set out to. Driver Body Camera was already built by the time I came across yours - it started as something I made for myself, I drove with it for about a week, fixed what bothered me in actual play, and then decided it was good enough to release.

Both are separate cockpit camera modes built on BeamNG's stock driver.lua, so some of the surrounding structure is inevitably going to look similar. What sits on top of that is not the same.

I did use AI while writing it, and I'm not hiding that.

On the bobble-head effect - the body movement is meant to be adjustable. Lower Body lean under g and Seat and spine, or use the new Racing preset in 1.2.0, which is exactly for more restrained movement in race cars.

Sorry this came across that way, it wasn't my intention.

This is one the closest yet to how things really be driving hard. I can concur. Thank you for making this

The camera movement is dope and the presets work well!
I tried them with VR and it was a much more fluid and less nauseating experience than the default driver camera. Thank you for making this.

Vehicle accelerating, and impacts feel really underwhelming, mainly due to the fact that there's no camera pitching when accelerating or decelerating (braking and crashing).
I'd also really like it if there were presets for all of the different seat types, so for example: using a bucket seat would reduce the overall movement compared to just a normal seat.
Other than those two things, it looks really promising! Also I hope the icon isn't AI generated :(

Thanks for the feedback! 1.2 will include a Racing preset with more restrained body movement for race cars and bucket seats.

As for the pitch: acceleration and braking are driven by longitudinal g-forces, so the body moves forward and backward while the gaze stays relatively stable - that's deliberate, and it's the same reason the view doesn't swing around over bumps. If enough people want a stronger pitch response, I can add it later as a separate, optional effect.

And yeah, the icon was AI-generated, then I made a few small edits in Photoshop afterwards.

Definitely one of the better driver camera mods out there, This mod in combination with mouse steering IMO (just get a wheel setup I know I have one but rarely use it) makes judging the limits in high speed cornering feel so much better with understeer and snap oversteering

It is really good, but I feel like it needs some better tuning. When I'm driving a race car with racing bucket seats, your body doesn't move around like this, which makes it really hard to drive any fast race car because the camera just goes out of the vehicle, I know we can change settings, however, having to change them every time I switch in and out of a race car makes it less enjoyable. Any way to maybe change the code so if you have a racing seat installed it makes the camera more stable?

Thanks for the feedback! 1.2.0 will include a dedicated Racing preset with reduced body movement for race cars and bucket seats.

I decided to go with a preset rather than automatic seat detection for now, so switching between a road car and a race car should only take one click instead of having to retune the sliders every time.

Literally a game changer. Enhanced driver camera makes the regular driver view in this game look lame pathetic and weak, but this while not necessarily making enhanced driver camera look bad, looks leagues ahead of even that. This is why mods for this game are so necessary imo.

what would make this an 11/10 for me is the ability to move the camera around the cockpit of the car like the relative camera, the g-force effects here are spot on!

Took a half day to fine tune, but after all it's very fun. Beeter than enhanced driver camera mod.

It’s really, really, really, really great, but there’s just one thing I’d like to see improved. My body wobbles all over the place—side to side, up and down, and back and forth—as if I weren’t wearing a seatbelt. Because of that, my viewpoint sometimes drifts outside the car when I’m driving in rally mode, for example. Well, I know BeamNG cars don’t have seatbelts, though.

Thanks! Try lowering "Seat and spine" and "Body lean under g" - together they cover the vertical movement over bumps and the side-to-side and back-and-forth body movement. Lower values make the driver feel more strapped in, which sounds like what you're after.
