    IMPORTANT NOTE:
NOTE: This is one of my first Automation 4.27 models, now optimized for latest BeamNG update. Some other conversions will be added soon. [DS] means it's part of my Deleted Scenes compilation (my earlier and non-uploaded works until now).

    The Story:
The French car maker Pinault and the Government of Socialist Romania signed agreement onto building the family car for the developing worker class in the late 1960's. As the blueprint for the "people's car" was chosen 1969 Pinault 12 with the most of the original French tooling. The Romanian car brand was known as the Oltenia, which derived its name from the actual Romanian region. The "people's car" was powered by 1.3L inline-4 engine, so it was known as the Oltenia 1300, with various interior and quality-based trims, which were better in the export models. When the agreement with Pinault expired, the 1300 was object for various interventions, and was produced until the 1984, or even 1989, if the 1310 and 1410 unique models are treated as the "vanilla" model. There is the original story end.
    Now the fictional one.
In the 1970's Romanian government decided to make its own rally car, derived from the 1300 model and with borrowing the more advanced technology from the Western European producers. In the 1978, the Oltenia 1600 S (Sport) also know as "Gorani" (Gordini mock-up) was born. The Pinault 12 Gordini roots are also visible from choosing the typical Blue colour with white stripes as the car's paint job. But it wasn't Gordini, because the bigger engine with one additional line was developed for better performance effect. Source says that it was smuggled from Western Germany, but it's not proven until now. The car was heavier and faster than original counterpart, with acceptable handling and reasonable fuel consumption. Only ten were built and were part of the national rally team, which was among better in the Eastern Block, along with the Eastern German and Czechoslovak ones. You have the privilege of driving the one of few preserved ones.
The car was inspired by Renault 12 Gordini and Dacia 1300/1310 models, but the technical stats are quite different. Enjoy! :)
