Hi everyone
After 7 months of work, I can finally officially share this car!

The EMG VKP-22 (Viking Prototype 2022) is the successor of the EMG Viking. The VKP-22 is as fast as the Viking around a track. It is slower on the straights, but it will catch up with its better brakes and higher cornering speed. The VKP is also way easier to drive thanks to a more balanced aero and a way better chassis.
Here is a long list of information:
1) Before you start driving it
2) Chassis
- As long as you are using a configuration adapted to your controller, you should not need the ESC.
- Every configuration has in-game description to give you the main specs of the specific configuration.
- The ‘’Official F1 spec’’ is the default configuration and is adapted to every type of controller. However, you have to know that this configuration doesn’t have a single electronic assistance: no ESC, no ABS. Because of that, it will let you feel the true balance of the VKP-22.
- You can find an interior camera, 2 nose cameras and a TV angle camera
3) Engines
- It uses Ekai Min's rigider
- The mesh is not 100% done, but any other modification of a node position makes the car instable
- The RMH-22 livery was made by Whitevoid, not me.
- The VKP-22 customer livery is paintable, you just have to open the BeamNG customization menu.
4) Transmissions
- Like a real F1 car, it uses a turbo-hybrid 1.6L V6 engine. Each configuration using it has its own power output, thanks to its special turbo.
- It also has an alternative turbo 1.9L inline 9, just for ‘’The joke’’.
- They can be tuned to become more powerful at higher speed. For example, you can start with 800hp at 0kph, and end up with 1400hp at 200kph. It was made possible thanks to, once again, the turbo. It can be tuned to produce a different boost pressure for 9 different speed intervals.
- It uses a custom sound from the game ‘’F1 2022’’.
5) Tires
- The race configurations use an 8-speed sequential transmission, with a completely reworked shift logic.
- The gearbox ratios are approximately matched on the ones of the Alpine. Same gear and same RPM for the same speed.
- You will feel like the gearbox shift up early, around 12.6krpm, even if the engine can reach 15k rpm. It’s perfectly normal. Just like IRL F1, the engine start losing a significant amount of torque after 13k rpm.
- It uses a 3-way tunable differential, to maximize the acceleration potential at every moment into the corner.
- ‘’The joke’’ uses its own 6-speed sequential transmission.
6) Brakes
- Of course, the tires are not standard. It is impossible to have this kind of performances with Automation tires.
- Rally tires use a friction coef of 1.10, medium slick tires use a friction coef of 1.25, and soft slick tires use a friction coef of 1.35.
- Friction coef is not the only thing I have edited on the tires. I also rework the structural stiffness of the tires, making them less rigid than Automation tires, to get a more realistic feeling. But I probably made them too soft, I think the ‘’roll over’’ issue comes from this point.
7) Aerodynamic
- I hope you are ready for a 5 to 6G deceleration force. Remember to brake later than what you usually do… way later.
- They are tuned to be used without ABS, but they still work with ABS.
- I tuned them to be on the edge of overheating after a hard braking from 320kph to 50kph. You are going to be perfectly fine if you only do a few laps without reset. But, just like a real F1, you will have to manage them if you are going for a long run around a track challenging from the brakes.
8) Electronics
- The VKP-22 uses a custom-made, fully tunable, aero model.
- The ‘’Official F1 specs’’ configuration produces up to 2.1 tons of downforce at 300kph according to BeamNG.
- The ‘’Unlimited’’ and ‘’RMH’’ configurations, the ones with the biggest aero load, produce up to 2.7 tons of downforce at 300kph according to BeamNG.
9) Know issues
- Some configurations are equipped with a custom ESC, adapted to the needs of this kind of car
- ‘’The joke’’ is equipped with ABS only, for obvious reasons.
- The VKP-22 has a huge mechanical grip. Because of that, it can roll over for no reason at low speed, with any kind of tire compound.
- The wheels tend to shake when they lose grip. It doesn’t impact the handling.
- The custom sound is not perfect.
- The car is too light for a 2022 F1. The minimal authorized weight is 798kg, the VKP-22 weights 780kg.
I think that’s all the important things to know. I hope you will enjoy this car! And, like always, feel free to give me any kind of feedbacks!
