    Here we have another diesel engine. it's a Euro Truck engine from a Volvo FH, a more modern version for the Semi Truck (which I know is american, but hey, sound mod!) :).

    This is only the exterior exhaust and exterior engine sounds sampled for onload and offload...there is SO MUCH MORE detail I could potentially add in the future if i can find ways to layer sounds without the FMOD engine exploding or blurring out the detail. This is details such as rattles, clattering of the exhaust pipes, open pipe sounds, BOV chuff from the huge turbos, chatter and flutter and much more. I believe there is ways to add more sound layers using the sbeam method, but as of yet i'm unsure how to do it via FMOD, if anyone knows anything let me know!

    For now though I think it sounds great, especially up hill...you really get that sense of lugging a huge load with the way the transmission reacts to the gear changes and on/offload samples, sounds very satisfying IMO

    Excuse the end in the media clip...clearly i don't know my clearence height haha :rolleyes:.

    If I could I would give 6 stars.
    Now the Gavril is sounding like a true hardcore semi. Especially loving it when I'm "bumping" the throttle at low RPM. The sound is so meaty!

    I work around big Volvo's every day (mainly FH16's & FM's). So I feel like I'm in a position to say that the sound is too aggressive and there's not enough of an emphasis on the actual "ticking" of the engine.
    Apart from that, I think this mod has some serious potential.

      Hi, yeah I appreciate your input and experience. The biggest issue with the games audio I have so far is that I am stuck with a choice. Make use of one set of samples, clear then up, make them crisper and hope the game behaves. Or, use another set of samples that are of a different character, repeat process, layer them and hope the game behaves!

      What I've found is that I simply reach the limit of the FMOD engine. I do actually have exhaust and intake sounds and fan sounds for this engine but applied in game it all just comes out muddy and messy. This is why I went with the choice of the exterior samples from the front of the vehicle as this was the clearest, hence the aggression.

      I'm always experimenting and trying to get things even better each time so the more I learn and the more this game develops then better and more samples I can use :). Thanks for your feedback again.
