      Author's Response
      thanks dude!
paint packs are a bit complicated, but i'll explain how I did mine:

      1. find some car colours you like. there will be websites that show you the colours and their names if you run a Google search
      2. find the RGB or HSV values of these. Use the colour picker Chrome extension.
      3. once you know the HSV values, start adding your different paints in Automation, in the Global paints section. This is so you can visualise the colours you have gathered and improve them if necessary.
      4. this is the boring bit; once you have all the colours you like, it is best to add them to an Automation vehicle and export it. I would add different paints to the same vehicle and export them with the names of your colour. this will be useful for the next step.
      5. in your rar file (vehicles>*name of car*) there is a file called info.json. open this with Notepad++, or a Java editior if you have one. do not close your .rar file, or you will not be able to access the .json file.
      6. the "Default" colour will have the values you want. so the best way to store these for future is to create an Excel worksheet, with columns for your colour name and its values, and copy the "Default" colour values to this worksheet. i'd recommend adding a third column that combines your colour name and value in the format that is required in the info.json file. be very precise about this; the wrong " symbol causes errors, so just copy the " character used in the orignal code wherever you add new colours!
      7. repeat step 6 for every colour you have.
      8. once you have saved the worksheet of all your colours, you can manipulate the code in your info.json file such that you have all the colours you want for a particular car. this of course requires unique colour names attributed to its respective colour values. you can add as many colour names as you want, as long as the names are unique and that the 'default_Color' is set to the name of the colour that you want to be default. ensure they are both typed correctly, Notepad++ will flag any errors
      9. after adding the colours to the info.json file, save the json file and confirm the update within your .rar package.
      10. drive happy knowing you can choose whatever colour you wish for your car :)
