    Player Car - Disable "competitive scenario conditions" in options > gameplay, load the scenario and open the car spawner to replace the current vehicle, restart the scenario (R)

    CURRENT ISSUES
    • AI has sometimes trouble rejoining the track, obviously around the ramps or steep inclines
    • AI can get stuck in the guardrails/sweeping corners, often blocking traffic and the race if not being pushed away

    i loved these scenarios, but now when i press r (usually restarts the scenario) just respawns everyone and the ai just crash or dont drive at all

    Disclaimer - this mod is completely broken in BeamNG v0.26.

    I spent most of my BeamNG playtime playing the Hirochi 9 cars 8 laps scenario. This has been my favourite scenario for years.

    Unfortunately, its functionality has deteriorated over the past two years. The latest major BeamNG update was the final nail in the coffin for this scenario - now more than half the AI drivers crash immediately or drive very slowly, and the only way to restart the scenario is to reload it from the menu - pressing R just respawns all the vehicles.

    I have been able to manually add the Covet back in (the internal name changed from "hatch" to "covet" with this latest update, so it doesn't spawn unless the .prefab and .pc files are updated with the new internal name). For the rest of the problems however, I'm not smart enough to fix them myself ( absolutely would if I knew how to).

    this is by far my go-to thing to play..but it needs an Update .
    The only thing i'd change is loose the ramp and replace the truck with something .. maybe the new car.

    I like the scenario except i hate the red truck in the race, but overall pretty good scenario. It would be funner if it would be a rally car. Nice work!

    Great scenario, but it runs at 12 fps on my 4 core i5 (+ GTX960). Hope to give this another go when I can afford to upgrade.

      Thanks, you can still download the earlier version (0.3) that has the scenarios with less opponents. My plan is to have options for ai/lap count prior to the race.

    love the big 8 races, please make it possible to add different configurations for player and AI vehicles...that would be neat!

      Thank you. For sure, once the documentation is updated I'll look into this more. Something like having a select field, similar to how the drag race is setup with custom configs.
